It even has a button to press to check to see if the current lighting is sufficient for charging. It feels like an apple keyboard.
It has legs to prop up or you can lie it flat. There is a tiny, forgettable (in a good way) usb you plug into a Mac or a PC to make the connection. No software drivers needed. I'm currently using this on my work laptop which has Windows which is works great with. The only thing I would want beyond what this keyboard offers is illuminated keys. More (Read full review). Logitech Solar Keyboard Mac Software
First off I have always liked the flat profile of the Apple keyboards. The Logitech keys have the same type and feel as the Apple keyboard. I must also have a numeric keypad, but did not want the wired version that Apple sells. Hence, the Logitech fits this requirement as well. I immediately replaced my clunky cheap work keyboard (cheapest HP the company could buy) with the Logitech.
The home unit is paired with my Mac Mini, and they both have the exact same profile (with the OS specific keys for each type). So far after a year of use, I have had no problems with the functionality of either unit. Very pleased. More (Read full review).

I do wish a light would tell me when the CAPS LOCK is onI am very glad not to have to have to be changing batteries every few days. The original Mac keyboard was nice and small, but if I typed too fast, it disconnected. Needed batteries change way too often. I was actually glad when it died and I could get something else.

I bought it and it totally died. Logitech told me the limited warranty period expired and gave me trouble shooting instructions all of which I had already tried.
But knowing it was shot anyway (it would not charge), I decided to change the internal battery. That worked for about a week and 1/2. It is a beautiful looking keyboard and works perfectly until it simply stops performing at all with no advance warning. Since it is relatively expensive, I would not recommend purchasing until they have ironed out all the bugs. More (Read full review).

I bought mine back in 2013 and I use it with my iMac for photography and design projects every single day, and until today I never had a single problem with it of any kind, and I've also updated through 3 or 4 operating systems and it keeps working as the first day. I will buy another one for sure when I need it! More (Read full review).

It's sturdy, the keys have a nice feel to them and until I recently moved to a shady area in my home office, I've never had to worry about making sure it's charged. (Now that I have, I just leave it in some light when I'm not using it.) I love not having to change batteries once a month or so like I do with my Magic Trackpad and I love that it has an integrated number pad. The biggest complaint I've read in other reviews is that it uses a USB dongle instead of Bluetooth.
I have no issue with that as I use it with an iMac and have a couple extra USB hubs hooked up to it anyway. I mean, with all the USB devices around these days, I feel like you need a USB hub anyway. Anyway, this keyboard is one of my favorite accessories, and if anything ever happens to it I'll definitely buy a new one. I think that'll be a while though since the one I'm typing on right now is still going strong after several years.
