My wife sent an e-mail to my i-Mac computer, with an Excel attachment - in order to be able to use my printer to get a hard copy. When she opened the Excel attachment on my computer, the entire Apple Menu bar simply no longer appeared - nor do the three colored dots that one is supposed to be able to click on in order to close a file, move a file to the 'Dock,' or expand the file. This totally unacceptable and unwanted change now applies to ALL my Excel files, the result being that the only way I can close out of an Excel file and/or 'quit' Excel is to perform a 'hard' shut down of the computer and then reboot. Thank you all for you answers. I asked my question after Microsoft indicated it wanted $159 for each and every 'Chat' support event. As it turns out, I got fast help from AppleCare, who enlightened me about 'Full Screen' views - and how to toggle in and out of that by simultaneously clicking on.
